Scope of and updates to this Privacy Statement
Being the trusted choice for your supplies, tools and equipment needs starts with Butler & Land unrivaled commitment to customer service. As part of that commitment, we respect the privacy of our customers and users. Whether we are helping to buy, educate, train, inspect, or finance your equipment, tools, and other assets in the United States, we are guided by our desire to meet your needs in a convenient, fair and transparent manner – and that includes making sure you understand how we handle personal information and what corresponding rights are available to you.
What personal information we collect and process
Our multiple industry solutions are designed to help your business Move, Build and Grow.
Most of the information we collect, and process, is equipment related information and business contact information relating to, and provided by, our customers’ employees or other workers. In general, information is collected when a customer engages one of our brand solutions to provide services by entering a contract, creating an online account, coming into one of our locations to buy an item(s), providing us information through a webform, or otherwise interacting with us. Information may also be obtained from other sources. For instance, our vendors may share information, or an outside service provider is used to verify or supplement what we’ve received. In some cases, the information we obtain is generated automatically when users engage with our digital services, such as browsing our websites, using our mobile applications, social media, opening our communications or clicking on our advertisements.
Our solutions are not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect information from users or participants who are considered children under applicable laws. To participate in creating an account, buying an item(s), or use our services, you must be 18 or older.
What Choices Do You Have
We want you to understand your choices regarding how we may process your personal information. Depending on how you use the Service, these choices may include the following:
Interest-based advertising. Visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s online resources, and/or the DAA’s resources to learn about how you may opt-out of certain interest-based advertising. Some of these opt-outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept cookies. Furthermore, if you use a different device, change browsers or delete cookies, you may need to perform the opt-out task again.
Cookies Settings and Preferences. You may disable cookies and other tracking technologies through the settings in your browser.
E-mail Settings and Preferences. If you no longer want to receive marketing e-mails from us, you may choose to unsubscribe at any time. You can also set your e-mail options to prevent the automatic downloading of images that may contain tracking technologies.
Interest Based Advertising
We participate in interest-based advertising and use third party advertising companies to serve you targeted advertisements based on your browsing history. Typically, though not always, the information used for interest-based advertising is collected through cookies or similar tracking technologies, which recognize the device you are using and collect information, including click stream information, browser type, time and date you visited the site and other information. We may share a common account identifier (such as an email address or user ID) with our third party advertising partners to help identify you across devices. We and our third party partners use this information to make the advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.

Third Party Partners
The following is a sample of the third party service partners we work with to provide cross-device linking and/or advertising services. We will strive to update this list if or when we work with new partners which offer you choices about the collection of your information, but as partners change and new technologies become available, this list is likely to change over time and may not always reflect our current partners.
Google Analytics and Advertising. We use Google Analytics and Google Universal Analytics to recognize you and link the devices you use when you visit our site or Service on your browser or mobile device, login to your account on our Service, or otherwise engage with us. We share a unique identifier, like a user ID or hashed email address, with Google Universal Analytics to facilitate the service. Google Analytics allows us to better understand how our users interact with our Service and to tailor our advertisements and content to you. For information on how Google Analytics collects and processes data, as well as how you can control information sent to Google, review Google’s site “How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps” located at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. You can learn about Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs, including the Google Analytics Browser Ad-On here.
We may also utilize certain forms of display advertising and other advanced features through Google Analytics, such as Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. These features enable us to use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the Doubleclick advertising cookie) or other third party cookies together to inform, optimize, and display ads based on your past visits to the Service. You may control your advertising preferences or opt-out of certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager, currently available at https://google.com/ads/preferences or by vising NAI’s online resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.
